
Below are different roles you could serve in
NOTE: We are growing and expanding. Some roles will be implemented in the future.
Current Roles:
“First-time” Guide Team: These volunteers serve our first-time guests by providing them with a genuine greeting, a personalized experience, and a friendly follow-up. This role is currently a flexible role that other volunteers will take on when needed.
Greeters: These volunteers serve our guests at the doors by making them feel valued with a sincere greeting, a friendly presence, and a fond farewell. They also guide new guests to the main auditorium, washrooms, etc as needed.
Ushers: These volunteers serve our guests in the Main Auditorium by initiating with a warm greeting, friendly presence, and clear directions to a seat. These volunteers also: count the number of people attending each service, watch out for any potential issues, check washrooms, and watch the cash/cheque box in the Main Auditorium.
Jacobs Well: These volunteers serve our first-time guests a free drink of their choice once they have filled out our digital Guest Card. They also sell drinks every Sunday.
Future Roles:
Team Leader: These volunteers are responsible for leading specific teams of volunteers through the details of a Sunday and caring for their teams. They work closely with the Guest Services Director.
Parking Team: These volunteers serve our guests in the parking lot by initiating with a warm welcome, clear directions, and a fond farewell.
Information Center Team: These volunteers serve our guests at the Information Center by answering their questions, providing clear information, and helping them take next steps.
